Can I get a Medicare rebate?

Yes - Qualified Mental Health Social Workers  can provide a Medicare rebate with a current Mental Health Care Plan from your local GP

 

Do you offer Telehealth?

Yes - We work with people online and phone, across Australia and internationally. 

 

Who are accredited Mental Health Social Workers?

Accredited Mental Health Social Workers are  accredited by the Australian Association of Social workers (AASW) as having specialist mental health expertise. To maintain this accreditation, Social Workers must meet requirements of the AASW Continuing Professional Development program specifically relevant to mental health including supervised practice.

 

What is the role of social workers in mental health?

Accredited Mental Health Social Workers (AMHSWs) play a crucial role in the mental health field. They provide specialised services to individuals, families, and communities to support mental health and well-being.  We help with assessment and diagnosis, therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention, advocacy and research. As an AMHSW we use a wide range of modalities such as EMDR, family therapy, Cognitive and dialectical behaviour therapy, trauma informed lens and solution focused models.
